BOSTON, October 14, 2026 — The NemetzGroup LLC, a life sciences commercialization advisory firm, and Corval LLC, a developer of technology solutions for biopharma commercialization, today announced their combination under The NemetzGroup brand. The combination brings together senior biopharma advisors and the team behind the Corval® commercialization planning platform to integrate strategic guidance with proprietary technology that supports commercialization decisions. The firm also announced the appointments of industry veterans Maureen Wendell and Jake Schutz to senior leadership roles.
The combined, privately held firm draws on more than two decades of commercialization experience to connect strategic advisory work with expert-developed frameworks and interactive planning resources that can be adapted as clinical evidence, timelines, and business needs change. Clients now have the flexibility to pair advisory services with Corval or use the platform as a standalone service.
“Bringing The NemetzGroup and Corval together is a natural evolution of how we help biopharma innovators navigate the path to patients,” said Susan Nemetz, founder and CEO of The NemetzGroup and Corval. “Clients need more than another source of information. They need help turning it into a coherent plan. Bringing our commercialization expertise and purpose-built technology together lets us support both the key strategic decisions and the day-to-day work behind them.”
The CorLab
The newly established CorLab, the firm’s innovative technology capability, will combine deep biopharma advisory and software development experience to expand Corval’s commercialization decision engine. It delivers purpose-built technology and secure AI-assisted tools that advance client strategy and planning capabilities.
“Expansion plans are in active development and include tapping into select data sources to securely monitor external factors like new publications, competitor milestones, regulatory and market access decisions in real time, then applying those insights to refine a client’s go-to-market strategy as conditions change,” Nemetz continued. “The goal is less time gathering and synthesizing information and more time applying judgment, assessing implications, and agile decision-making around what to do next.”
Expanded Senior Leadership Team
The appointments of Wendell and Schutz underscore the firm’s commitment to this evolution, adding senior leadership to advance technology integration across client engagements and expand the commercialization practice.
Wendell joins as Head of Corporate Strategy and Executive Consultant, bringing experience from Johnson & Johnson, Palio/inVentiv Health, and Averitas. In addition to advising clients, she will help strengthen the firm’s marketing and creative services offering and integrate technology solutions into consulting delivery.
Schutz joins as Head of Growth and Practice Lead: Commercialization and Launch Excellence. From his early work at IBM Watson to his most recent role at Syneos Health, he brings deep expertise in building and scaling digital solutions across the pharmaceutical value chain. At The NemetzGroup, he will advise clients, lead the firm’s growth, and help integrate and advance the use of technology in consulting delivery.
