Jim excels at disruptive strategy and brand positioning in challenging markets. He uses his scientific acumen to translate insights into actionable commercial implications. His experience enables him to effectively bridge the diverse functions across development and commercial teams by speaking their language to gain alignment.
Jim joined The NemetzGroup in 2011 and has over 35 years of broad industry and consulting experience. His background includes product development strategy, new product and lifecycle planning, global product launches, and market analysis. His considerable knowledge of oncology, orphan diseases, and specialty markets, plus his ability to facilitate engaging workshops, has made Jim a valued asset for our clients.
He began his career at Hoffmann-La Roche with positions in sales, market research, regulatory affairs, and business development before joining Genetics Institute (GI) as a marketing manager. He eventually rose to Director of Oncology Marketing and was responsible for launching the company’s first oncology product. Jim joined Wyeth as Senior Director of Global Strategic Marketing, responsible for several global franchises and preparation for the international launch of what is now an >$4 BN global brand.
Jim has an undergraduate degree in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry.
